Follow the Birds

The royal family crest for my film. A bit incomplete for my goal was to get seventeen birds on it, but ended up with nine. Put more time than needed into this for I wanted to make sure I got some of the symbolism right.

At first I was going to make the motto "fortitudo quasi alae" and according to Google translate that is Latin for "As Strong as the Wing" but I changed it to "Sequi aves" meaning "Follow the Birds" for it was small enough to fit on the banner I drew.

The gold metal virtue and generosity
The colors Green (Freedom, joy,  health and hope) Purple (majesty, authority, and justice)
The interior shield: Blue (strength and loyalty) Red (warrior or martyr, and military strength)
The shield division Per bend sinister (defense or protection)
The interior shield: Per Chevron (protection)
Branch new life supporting the old
Arrow ready for battle
Helmet wisdom, security, strength, protection, and invulnerability
Wings swiftness and protection
        The interior shield
Rose hope, joy, grace martyrdom and the sign of the 7th son
Tower (interior shield) safety and grandeur

Birds
Peacock  beauty, power, and knowledge
Phoenix immortality, resurrection, and life after death
Falcon one who does not rest until objective achieved
Blue Bird: This is one of the birds from my animation, its fictional so there wouldnt any tradisional symbolism,  but most birds symbolize peace
      The interior shield
Crow/Raven (2)  Symbol of initiation, protection, and prophecy.
Owl (3) vigilant and wit

Birds that didn't make it were the duck, swan or geese, griffin, pheasant, pelican, crane, swallow, and the Red bird from the animation.
